Exploring Vulnerabilities

Exploring climate impacts and vulnerabilities in Greater Melbourne

In 2017-2018 NAGA worked with the other inner-city Alliances  (WAGA, SECCCA and EAGA), to deliver a three-part gap analysis (right) for the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) to assist in developing regional priorities for adaptation based on the climate change impacts the Port Philip (Greater Melbourne) region is likely to experience, the needs and values of the community, and work undertaken to date.

We are now building on this gap analysis in Exploring Vulnerabilities, a project exploring current and future climate impacts on at-risk communities and business sectors. This DELWP-funded project will also identify the needs of these communities and businesses in terms of their capacity to adapt to Melbourne's changing climate.
