Municipal Energy Profiles

Municipal Energy Profiles

NAGA analyses electricity and gas consumption data supplied by Victoria's energy distribution companies.

From this data, we then produce individual municipal energy profiles, tracking energy consumption across different postcodes and economic sectors. The profiles allow our member councils to assess their progress towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions from stationary energy sources.

NAGA has prepared the following profiles for the 2014 calendar year:

  • City of Banyule
  • City of Darebin
  • Hume City Council
  • City of Manningham
  • City of Melbourne
  • City of Moreland
  • Nillumbik Shire Council
  • City of Whittlesea
  • City of Yarra

NAGA has worked with the Moreland Energy Foundation to research current energy data supply from distributors, and how that might be improved to benefit customers as well as the distributors themselves. This work was conducted for the Consumer Advocacy Panel and the full report is available for download.
