The Your Council and Climate Change training covered:
  • Climate risks and current and projected impacts in Victoria, including the impacts on community and local environment, and impacts on council business, assets, services and operations
  • Councils’ roles and responsibilities in addressing these risks and impacts
  • Current best practice in local government in adapting to and managing climate impacts
  • Tools and resources available to help councils achieve best practice in this area.

NAGA worked with councils across Victoria and RMIT to develop initial content for the training.

The slidepack, recording and training resources from  the session are available on the DELWP website. The more detailed slides initially developed by NAGA are also available on the same page.
