Networking

Networking is a vital part of NAGA's capacity building work, allowing our members to come together to share best practice as well as learn from experts

This includes on-going networking through regular fora for council members. NAGA also works with other Victorian Greenhouse Alliances to run events that build capacity for Councils.

The 2022 Victorian Greenhouse Alliances conference, led by NAGA, was held on 29 April in Melbourne and was attended by over 300 council officers, managers, councillors and council partners.

Previous workshops run by NAGA with Alliance partners include:
  • Councils getting off gas
  • So you've declared a climate emergency, what now?
  • The psychology of climate change
  • Climate change adaptation research (with RMIT)
  • How to talk about climate change
  • Energy Performance Contracts
  • Solar on leased buildings
